Who We Are

We Protect Foundation has been working for the underprivileged people and kids for last 7 years but was formally formed 5 years back, this November we shall complete 5 years of formation

We started the foundation when we started working in the slums and realised that one of the major issues is domestic violence. It’s often found that the ladies think that it’s absolutely alright if their husbands, fathers hit them, abuse them. We pretty much managed to control this problem in four slums in Colaba, especially in Badhwar Park slum. Then we started spreading our wings and expanded into teaching some kids. At the same time, we started helping some students in one the municipal schools.  

During this pandemic we are predominantly focusing on the hunger issues along with helping them basic things like masks and going to each and every household to check the Covid symptoms. So far we have been feeding almost 500 families in different areas. Last week we have started focusing on the tribals in different pockets of Raigadh district and helping them with month’s ration and other necessities.

Our goal on coming days, till the time the pandemic is at peak is to help as many people as possible. We have been getting small little donations from some lovely souls who are helping us in our cause.  We are planning to go big and expand our reach. Nobody should sleep empty stomach is our motto. Even if we are able to inspire one person who on return takes care of one family, we will be more than happy.

OBJECTIVES

1.   Equality

To promote Economic, Social, Political and Gender equality among masses especially in the marginalized and vulnerable sections like Dalits, Adivasis, Children, Women etc.

2. Rights

To make people aware about their legal and Constitutional rights so that they can become empowered to assert their rights.

3.Participation

To make people aware and empower them so that their participation can be ensured in governance and democratic process.

4.Access

To make people aware and empowered to ensure their access towards government welfare schemes, resources  and institutions.

5.Scientific Temperament 

To Promote scientific temperament, logical thinking and reasoning among common masses.
